CLIMATE:

Different climatological zones means areas of varying temperatures and weather. In the North East, along the Wild Coast, you will find long, hot summers and moderate winters. Towards the Free State, where the altitude rises, temperatures are much lower. Port Elizabeth enjoys mild weather with even winter temperatures not too cold and an average of 7 hours sun each day. In general the weather is pleasant, with perhaps the only extreme found in the midst of the Karoo summer.

N2 east from Cape Town or N1 south from Johannesburg, or fly to Port Elizabeth via Cape Town or Johannesburg
